Impressions of teachers who served in our school
School years 2007-09 Now that the cycle of my 2-year "term" in the inaccessible High School of Eressos is coming to an end, only words from dys- do not come to mind. On the contrary, I can speak:
- for the euphoriaI felt when I first saw the listed building of the school, the village with the stone houses and the wonderful beach
- the happiness of going to work without a car
- the well-beingwith which my two children adapted to their new environment and circulated on their own (!) in the village
- the abilityto undertake creative activities with the children of the school, which bring you closer to them and give meaningful meaning to your work
- the wishto enjoy the changes of the seasons, the smells and colors of nature after the rain, the view of Panagiouda and the sunset in Parasol
- the favorof luck to work with fellow young, creative, away from intrigues and antagonisms, still unaffected by the misery of public servants
I really feel grateful for the opportunity I was given to start my teacher's career from the High School of Eressos. And if it deprived me of my normal family life and made me difficult with the constant trips to Athens so that the whole family would be together, it rewarded me with experiences and memories that I will keep inside me forever. That is why it is a place where I will always return.
Thank you very much.
Sofia Papanikolaou, philologist
School years 2007-09.In three days I bid farewell to the beautiful Eressos. This marked the two years of my inaccessible "tenure". In these two years I understood what it means to be inaccessible from a practical point of view. However, my work at the High School of Eressos, I can say, compensated me. This is due both to the good cooperation with the students, as well as to the very pleasant, comfortable and friendly environment of our Association. I leave with very good memories and with the hope that in the future I will be able to experience similar experiences, a job that fills me and good relations with colleagues.
Giannakaki Charikleia, German philology.
February 2009– June 2009.A really interesting – albeit brief – experience in this school, which is distinguished by the strong contrasts. In a remote area (inaccessible) but with "wild" beauty of the landscape.
Colleagues are excellent with training, pedagogical look, a lot of appetite and creativity. The Director, Mr. Abatzis frames and strengthens them. Teachers are the initiators of the students but at the same time they draw ideas and are encouraged in activities by the children themselves. This school is not only a place of provision of knowledge, but within its bosom and beyond the typical working hours teachers and students constantly set ambitious goals and implement them together, annihilating the misery and isolation of the province. Typical examples, where distinctions were also noted, are the theatrical performance "Eleni", the school's website, the development of educational programs and the educational visits inside and outside the island.
Of course, some students may, on the one hand, due to the rural and tourist image of the local community and, on the other hand, due to the frequent alternation of teachers, have learning deficiencies and / or difficulties. Also as an informatics officer I must mention that the existing computer laboratory as well as the teachers' office /headmaster's office are very poor for the needs of the school. But these children have a soul and inner strength and they prove it every day! That is why those who decide from afar on the fate of their school must show more interest and sensitivity as it deserves and deserves it.
Personally, I hope to be given the opportunity to work with the gifted colleagues again and to reunite the children in a next school year.
Koutsis Giorgos, computer scientist.
School years 2007-09.I was appointed to the High School of Eressos as an inaccessible school. My first impression was (because I was coming and going from Gera every time) painful, tiring. But regardless of that it was a nice experience for me. Children, although all liveliness (hi, hi, hi) very nice children. Colleagues helpful, the director Mr. Ampatzis patient and tolerant with the inexperience of newly appointed colleagues. I wish everyone the best of luck and to realize the desires in their lives. Thank you.
Mytarou Eleftheria, theologian.
School years 2006-08.Leaving Eressos after two years of stay, it is sure that I will reminisce and be nostalgic many times for the nice moments I spent in high school. My career as a teacher started in the best way. I will remember you forever!
Kyriakopoulos Nikos, physicist.
School years 2006-08.Two beautiful and creative school years at the Theofrasteio High School of Eressos. I thank my colleagues, the director and especially the children for the excellent cooperation. I will always remember them.
