The Agricultural and Stockbreeding Cooperative of Eressos was founded in 1923 with several Eressians as pioneers, such as The Pantachos Michael, Tzanetos Minas, Koukos Emmanouil, Kontelos Pantelis and others, in order to produce and promote local products.
The first cheese factory was in the current warehouse of the cemetery of Eressos. In 1937 it was built on the site that is today in the village square and
had as president the Pantachos Michael.
From its foundation until today it produces kasseri, cheese and a while it also produced yogurt. The products are consumed in the domestic market, while in recent years it is also exported abroad (Canada).
